Privacy Notice
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Pulse Digital Media respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
Information we may receive
If you choose to contact Pulse Digital Media using the email link provided on the website, we may receive the information you voluntarily provide in your email, such as your name, email address and the contents of your message.
How we use your information
Information received through direct enquiries is used to respond to your enquiry, communicate with you where necessary, and maintain appropriate business records.
Who is responsible for your information
Phil Murphy, trading as Pulse Digital Media, is the data controller. Proud Dad Eternally is a brand operated by Pulse Digital Media. For privacy enquiries, contact pulsedigitalmediauk@gmail.com.
Free keepsake-card downloads
You can open and download the free keepsake cards directly from Google Drive without providing an email address to Pulse Digital Media or joining our mailing list. The download button goes directly to Google Drive, not through MailerLite. Downloading does not create a MailerLite subscriber record or trigger confirmation or delivery emails from us.
Google may process technical information when you open or download the file under its own privacy policy. Our Google Drive contains downloadable cards and design assets only; we do not store subscriber email addresses or customer records there. This does not mean that Google collects no information about visitors. Existing website hosting and cookie choices still apply when visiting our website.
Optional marketing signup
The separate “Subscribe to Proud Dad Emails” link opens our MailerLite signup form. Joining is optional and is independent of downloading the free cards.
You can choose to subscribe to family memory ideas, Proud Dad Eternally news and occasional keepsake offers from Pulse Digital Media. We collect your email address and record signup and confirmation dates, marketing preferences and subscription status through MailerLite. Marketing requires your separate Email permission. Double opt-in is enabled: after signing up, you must confirm your email address using the confirmation email. Confirmation does not replace your marketing choice. We rely on your consent to manage your chosen subscription and, when sending is enabled, send the marketing emails you requested. Downloading the free cards does not give marketing consent, and subscribing is not required to download them.
Marketing sending is currently paused. At this stage, signup sends only the double opt-in confirmation email: there are no welcome, card-delivery or marketing automation emails.
You can withdraw your signup or marketing consent now by contacting pulsedigitalmediauk@gmail.com. If marketing emails are sent in future, they will also include an unsubscribe link. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew consent.
Signup confirmation and consent evidence
MailerLite support has confirmed that double opt-in confirmation emails contain no recipient-specific open-tracking pixel and do not track opens or clicks for engagement analytics. The confirmation-link event is used solely to authenticate the signup, change the subscription status from Unconfirmed to Active, and retain evidence of consent. This description is based on provider-confirmed information, not an independent technical audit.
We use signup and confirmation records to establish and evidence your subscription choice. Confirming your address does not override the separate Email marketing permission. This authentication event is distinct from measuring engagement with marketing emails.
Marketing email activity
Marketing sending remains paused while its tracking arrangements are assessed. The confirmation-email assurances above do not establish how future marketing emails will track opens or clicks. Marketing consent does not automatically authorise engagement tracking. We will finalise the assessment and update this notice with the applicable purpose, lawful basis, retention and choices before enabling marketing sending.
The direct download button goes straight to Google Drive and does not use MailerLite’s email click redirect.
Service providers and international processing
We use personal Google Drive to host the downloadable assets. We use MailerLite for the separate optional marketing signup and emails. For our free account with United Kingdom as its account country, MailerLite’s terms identify MailerLite Limited, Ireland. We do not sell your personal information.
These providers may process relevant information outside the United Kingdom. MailerLite’s published Data Processing Addendum describes international-transfer safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable. Google describes its processing and transfer mechanisms in its privacy information. We do not claim that all information remains in the UK.
Read the MailerLite Privacy Policy, MailerLite Data Processing Addendum, Google Privacy Policy and Google data-transfer frameworks.
Retention
The direct download does not create a subscriber record with us, so there is no MailerLite downloader record to erase under the former email-delivery retention policy.
For people who separately sign up, we retain their address, chosen permissions and subscription status while needed to manage that subscription. We keep evidence of how and when consent was given for as long as we rely on that consent. The evidence should relate to the consent wording and privacy information presented at signup. Confirmation records are used for authentication and consent evidence, not engagement analytics.
Unconfirmed signup records are retained only while needed to complete or resolve the signup request; they do not establish confirmed marketing permission. When a subscription is withdrawn or information is no longer needed, we remove unnecessary records. We may keep a limited record needed to respect an unsubscribe choice or demonstrate how a consent request was handled, only for as long as that specific purpose requires.
The former 30-day non-marketing free-card recipient policy does not apply to marketing subscribers or to the new direct download. No automatic deletion schedule is claimed. Retention for any future marketing engagement data remains a separate unresolved matter and does not justify collecting it in this confirmation-only launch.
Information from direct enquiries is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, resolve the enquiry and maintain necessary records.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict processing and, where applicable, data portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and object to direct marketing at any time. You can withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
